Gary holds a UEFA A License, one of the highest coaching certifications in the world, and brings over 20 years of professional and collegiate experience to the organization. He is also the host of the hugely successful podcast “Modern Soccer Coach,” a platform followed by soccer professionals and enthusiasts worldwide. With his extensive social media presence and reputation as an industry thought leader, Gary ensures that Surf Soccer players receive world-class training, cutting-edge methodologies, and exposure to the latest innovations in player development.

Players in Surf Soccer can aspire to join the prestigious Surf Select program, which brings together top talent from Surf Nation clubs across the country. The best players from all of our teams will be invited to attend Regional and National Surf Select camps, where they will have the opportunity to train and compete with “the best of the best” from more than 55 clubs in the Surf Nation network.Additionally, Surf Select offers international opportunities, including travel to compete in tournaments and events around the world. These unique experiences provide players with exposure to different playing styles and cultures, preparing them for the global game.

We are the only club in New York State that integrates tech-driven training, including VR training and more, to enhance player development. Our methodology combines advanced technology with elite coaching to refine technical skills like passing, shooting, and ball control, while strengthening tactical understanding through structured training. Players master key principles such as playing out from the back, quick transitions, and possession play. Training also improves speed, endurance, and strength, while fostering discipline, teamwork, and competitiveness.
